As a company, Sand Dollar Spa & Massage has always viewed our charitable giving as a pledge of our social responsibility. Whether through the in-kind donation of volunteer time, gift certificates or direct financial support, our giving is based on the belief that our vitality as a company depends on the well-being of the town where we live and work. To accomplish this, we consider those areas in which we believe the most critical needs exist and where the Company's resources can have the most favorable impact on the community we serve. As such, our giving is focused in three key areas.
Areas of Corporate Giving
Active Lifestyles & Healthy Living - As members of the health industry field, Sand Dollar Spa & Massage believes that a healthy and active lifestyle is vital for an individual's well-being. We support many community services that share this view. We offer help to organizations through volunteer chair massage efforts and gift certificate contributions.
Economic Development - At Sand Dollar Spa & Massage, we believe that investing in our community has a significant impact. We look to support those endeavors that promote economic vitality within our area. These activities include local and regional events that are focused on stimulating and sustaining the business marketplace and which emphasize the revitalization of downtown and business districts. In addition, we support education-related activities that assist in fostering a business knowledge base for youth as well as for the existing workforce.
Opportunities for Youth - We believe that creating empowering opportunities for our youth will help ensure continuation of the quality of life we value in Pierce County. We routinely look to support activities and initiatives that provide resources for the education of local children. We sponsor athletic programs that promote teamwork and pride for local youth. We also support job creation programs.
